CTI is an international freight forwarder specializing in air, ocean, rail, and road freight management. We handle import, export, and cross-trade shipments, overseeing every aspect from documentation and customs clearance through to final delivery, with a dedicated operational team assigned to each client to manage all logistics needs in an integrated way.

Our approach is rooted in a clear conviction: logistics works best when communication between parties is straightforward and immediate. This is why we operate as an outsourced logistics department, building a stable, long-term relationship with each client. We don’t handle one-off shipments — we follow the growth and evolving needs of the businesses that entrust us with their logistics over time. Clients always have a direct point of contact within our team, available at every stage of the process, with no call centers or ticketing systems standing in the way.

We primarily work with small and medium-sized businesses with established import or export activity that need professional, ongoing management of their international logistics without maintaining a dedicated in-house department. One of our areas of deepest specialization is the eyewear industry: handling high-value goods in relatively small volumes demands precise documentation, in-depth knowledge of customs regulations across destination markets, and the ability to select the most appropriate shipping solution on a shipment-by-shipment basis. This kind of expertise is built over time, through real cases in specific markets.

Ocean Freight

Ocean freight is the most comprehensive service we offer, covering the widest range of shipping needs. We manage import, export, and cross-trade shipments with regular sailings from the world’s major ports, working with shipping lines, port operators, and maritime agencies with whom we have built solid, long-standing relationships.

For full loads, we operate FCL shipments using all standard container types as well as special equipment, including open top, flat rack, and tank containers for oversized or non-standard cargo. For partial loads, we offer LCL groupage, consolidating cargo into shared containers with regular departures on major trade lanes. We also handle Ro-Ro shipments for wheeled and self-propelled vehicles and machinery, break bulk for cargo that cannot be containerized due to size or nature, and project cargo for complex operations requiring dedicated logistics planning, often coordinated across multiple carriers and ports of call. We are fully equipped for the transport of IMO-classified dangerous goods and for temperature-controlled shipments, using reefer containers for food, pharmaceutical, and biological products.

For cross-trade shipments — where cargo moves from a third country to its final destination without passing through Italy — we manage the entire operation, coordinating directly with local agents and correspondents in both the origin and destination countries.

Air Freight

We manage air freight shipments for import, export, and cross-trade across six continents, selecting the most suitable carrier based on transit times, costs, and the specific nature of the cargo. We work with the major cargo airlines and a network of agents at the world’s leading hub airports, enabling us to offer reliable connections even to destinations not well served by direct routes.

Our service covers general cargo, IMO dangerous goods, and temperature-controlled shipments for products requiring a certified cold chain. For situations where guaranteed delivery times are essential, we handle time-critical shipments through a range of solutions depending on the level of urgency: next flight out for the fastest available departures, hand carry for cargo requiring dedicated accompaniment, and air charter for volumes or circumstances that cannot be accommodated on scheduled routes.

Rail Freight

We offer rail freight solutions for container shipments between Europe, the Balkans, and the Far East, operating along the Trans-Siberian Railway for import, export, and cross-trade, in both FCL and groupage.

Rail freight sits as a genuine alternative between ocean and air, with costs significantly lower than air freight and a reduced environmental footprint compared to both. It has become an increasingly relevant option for businesses managing regular cargo flows with Asia that are looking for the right balance between speed and cost, or that have sustainability objectives embedded in their logistics decisions.

Road Freight

We manage road freight shipments from Italy across Eurasia — import, export, and cross-trade — with a door-to-door service supported by a carefully selected network of hauliers and local partners. We operate FTL for full loads and groupage for partial loads, with dedicated solutions for IMO dangerous goods, temperature-controlled cargo, and project freight.

Coverage to destinations with complex infrastructure or specific transit regulations — such as the Caucasus or Central Asia — is provided by local partners with on-the-ground expertise in those regions, who manage transit stages and handle intermediate customs formalities. The service is structured to ensure full traceability and operational continuity throughout the journey, even on the most complex routing.

Customs and Documentary Consulting

A significant part of what we do happens before the shipment even moves: helping businesses prepare properly to operate in a new foreign market or to navigate complex customs situations. Every country has its own regulations, documentary requirements, and clearance procedures, and approaching them without direct experience carries real risks — customs holds, penalties, and unexpected costs that can, in some cases, exceed the value of the goods themselves.

The consulting service we offer is grounded in hands-on experience built across markets around the world. Our work includes tariff classification of goods, verification of origin documentation, assessment of applicable duties, identification of export licenses or certifications required by the destination country, and assistance in managing ongoing customs disputes or holds.

International Moving and Relocation

We manage the transport of personal effects for individuals and companies facing international relocations. It is a flexible service that can cover the entire operation end to end — from an initial survey at the client’s home and professional packing of furniture, fragile items, and valuables, through to delivery with unloading and placement, including full management of all customs documentation required by the destination country. For operations requiring specialist packing or the handling of unusual items, we coordinate professional movers with specific experience in international relocations.

The service is available both to private individuals relocating abroad for personal or professional reasons, and to companies managing structured relocation programs for their employees.
